In this tutorial, I'd like to show you how to create an arch.
The Vue d'Esprit Terrain Editor can do a lot of things for you.
With the Terrain Editor, you can create wonderful, unusual things.
I would like to tell you about one of Vue's features.
I'm guessing you already had a first glance at Vue d'Esprit, so I won't tell you how to create scenes, or make a rendering, etc.
First, we need a picture of an arch.
You could create your own, using your painting
program, or you could download a picture from the Internet, but why don't you use this one:

A few words about the picture: the Terrain Editor "understands" only
black and white, but you can also try with gray!
Actually, experiment with different pictures - the result can be amazing!
Now let's create a 3D arch.
Open Vue and select any atmosphere you like.
In the left toolbar find Terrain, right click and hold.
When the rest of the icons appear, go to the Terrain in Editor button
.
In the New Terrain Options window uncheck the Generate fractal terrain and press OK.
Note: You can reach this window by pressing Ctrl+Shift+T.

In the Terrain editor window click on the Picture button
and it will load the Import Terrain Data window.
Press the Load button and browse to the folder in which you have saved your arch picture.
Select your arch picture and press the Open button.

The Mixing Mode must be Blend and you can leave the Proportions at 50%.
Press the OK button.
Now you need make an important step in the Terrain Editor window.
Find the slider called Clip
and drag it a bit to the right.
It will remove the unecessary background inside the arch.

Press the OK button and enjoy your own arch.
