Here
is an animation file (~350 Kb, 320x240).You
need to have a MPEG4 video codec installed (DivX
for example).
We've
already created a tornado and a simple animation.
Now, let's make our
movie more dynamic and complex.
Open your animated tornado scene and make a copy.
Let's take a look what we have. We have the 5 second movie scene
with the animated 'Swirling Hurricane' atmosphere and the spinning tornado.
Now, let's create an animation path for the tornado.
Press the 'Display Timeline' button
if you can't see the 'Timeline' (close the 'Mover Wizard' if it won't appear).
Highlight the 'funnel' group and select the 'Animation' tab
in the 'Object properties window'.
Press
the 'Animation toolbox' button.
In the 'Animation toolbox' window, uncheck the 'Spin' feature.
Repeat
the operation for the 'top' group.
We will make the tornado spin again later, after creating the path.
Select the 'funnel' group and the 'top' group simultaneously.
Move the
'Timeslider' to the 1 second and move all tornado groups to the right.
Move the 'Timeslider' to the 2 second and move the tornado to another
place. See the pictures below.
Create
another several keyframes.

Now you
have the curved animation path of the tornado and the six keyframes.
Press
the 'Animation toolbox' button and check 'Spin' for all groups again.
Select the 'Main camera' in the 'World Browser' and select the 'Animation'
tab in the 'Object Properties' window.
In the
'Track' box, select the 'top' group.
Now, the 'Main camera' will follow
the 'top' group.
Control
the position of the 'Main camera' in the 'Main camera view'.
Now, when we have a moving tornado, let's move the main camera to the
center of the tornado.
Drag the 'Timeslider' to the end time of the animation and remember the position
of tornado.
Select the 'Main camera' and move the 'Timeslider' to 3 seconds.
Move
the 'Main camera' to the tornado.
Within 3 seconds, the 'main camera'
will move to the tornado.
Drag the 'Timeslider' to 5 seconds.
Move
the 'Main camera' higher.
Press the 'Generate preview' button
and see the result.
Your tornado is moving and spinning!
You can add the vibration effect to the main camera.
Select the 'Main
camera' and press the 'Animation toolbox' button.
Check the 'Vibrate'
option. If you don't want to have the'Main camera' vibrate during the whole movie,
you need to edit the vibrate filter. For instance, if you want to start
the vibration after the 3rd second, your filter should be something like
in my picture.
You need to divide 3 by 5 to know the X value (0,6) on
the graphic. See the picture.

Good luck!
